New Transient & Accomodations Tax Form
Attention: New General Excise Taxes (GET) Filing Deadline
A new law was passed to advance the deadline for filing and paying General Excise taxes to the 20th day of the calendar month following the end of the reporting period. This law became effective on July 15, 2009. The Department of Taxation will provide a grace period for all periods up through December 2009. This grace period will provide tax payers time to implement the necessary changes to meet the advanced deadline. Penalty and interest will be imposed for failure to file and make payment of the respective tax beginning with the January 2010, due on February 20, 2010, filing. For more detailed information, please refer to Department of Taxation Announcement No. 2009.11.
